The surveillance took place between Trump’s election on November 8 and the inauguration in January, according to White House and House intelligence sources.
The focus was on General Mike Flynn, billionaire Erik Prince, and Fox News host Sean Hannity — all of whom had close ties to Trump before and after the November election and had helped the future president with managing his new diplomatic responsibilities.
Hannity was targeted because of his perceived ties to Julian Assange, say our intelligence sources. Hannity was reportedly unmasked by Susan Rice at Brennan’s behest thanks to his close relationship with Trump and Julian Assange.

Why would Brennan have Rice unmask them? That makes no sense
From Circa news on Trump to NYT that Rice may have committed a crime, “Trump said he would explain his accusations against Rice “at the right time.”
VERY INTERESTING - Trump has the “goods” on Rice and others and will slowly release to make sure the info is not lost.

The government is absolutely corrupt and way too powerful. Spying on Hannity? I mean, he’s perfectly open about how he feels about things. Which, I guess, ticks off the lefties.
Hannity already asked Jay Seculo (sp) to represent him in a civil suit.
Because of the hope the association between them would not show up. Independently, their behaviors look “more innocent.” When all done by one person, it looks illegal.
Unless a lot of people lose their jobs and go to jail as a result of this, the federal government will cease to have any moral authority to govern US citizens.

But she had already unmasked a lot. I don’t think we know how many. It makes more sense that he was using Rice so she would be the fall guy if this all came out.

This makes no sense. Susan Rice is not authorized to personally unmask. I believe that can only be done by CIA, NSA and FBI. She can request an unmasking and apparently that will be honored. But Brennan is authorized to do so on his own. He doesn't have to ask anyone including Susan Rice.
Correct me if I'm wrong about this.
GENERAL ALARM ALL HANDS ON DECK
Perhaps he does not want to unduly influence a federal investigation now underway. Not everything is simply a press matter. If he wants to see justice served, he should not unduly influence the process.
