Don’t ever talk to your mother-in-law or let her talk to you, LOL.
Unless you’re an illegal immigrant:
“In another mans lodge follow his customs, not your own.”
Note the paintings on the tipis honoring the sacred Llama which used to roam the prairies in the millions.
I know some cowboy etiquette. Don’t wear your hat indoors.....don’t put your hat on a bunk, don’t touch another cowboys hat, And more of a safety point and not etiquette. Don’t squat with your spurs on.
Thanks for sharing this
I love the Art of Manliness blog - I often have my 16 and 13 year old boys read it. Thanks for posting.
I love TheArtofManliness ..... follow it on Facebook & often share articles with the family (the only ‘friends’ I have on FB). Lots of the articles are good for men AND women. There was one recently on “time” that was very interesting & I learned something (since time is “flying by” for me):
Be a Time Wizard: How to Slow Down and Speed Up Time

Do not treat one who has forced or inveigled his way into your lodge as a guest.
The loose end goes over the top, not down the back, unless you have cats or toddlers.
Never pee in your teepee.
Perhaps Faux-ca-hontas could adapt this good, conservative advice as part of her platform. It definitely would help her persona, but being on the Left it would be — for all practical purposes — impossible for her to pull it off.
For the young couple in the tee-pee down the campground row from a group of Boy Scouts: the sounds of vigorous sex don’t remain in the tee-pee @ 3am. Glad the boys were sound sleepers but Scoutmasters that get up to pee in the middle of the night are easily entertained...
Good afternoon.
In the fwiw dept, I read a couple of books on etiquette. One was by Emily Post iirc. Had everything from manners to dress. Dinner, and all kinds of stuff.
I can’t remember much about the other book except it was a British writer and published in England.
Helped much in business and social life. Imho, made things easier.
