Authorities in New Jersey announced Friday that they arrested 79 suspected sex offenders in a nine-month-long investigation aimed at protecting children from sexual predators.
The investigation, called “Operation Safety Net,” resulted in the apprehension of suspects ranging in age from 14 to 75 years old and included a police officer, swimming coach and youth minister, The Inquirer reported. The suspects were arrested for different sex offenses, including possession of child pornography, sending inappropriate photos to children and sexual assault.

This will be a severe blow the DNC voter roles - unless they have felon voting there.
I’ve heard that in prison life, that perverts are considered the lowest of the low, in the hierarchy of prison life.
I’ve heard this happens, because even hardened criminal gang types, they don’t like the thought of a pervert messing with their kids.
Somehow, having a copy of a picture doesn’t seem to be necessarily up there with raping a kid. And even the story says “alleged.” No trial has happened.
Sometimes assuming the worst can gain “karmic” properties, to use a metaphor. Or as the bible says: as you judge, shall it be judged unto you.
Process is important.
Yep, I don’t doubt that it’s true.
It’s also a kind of scapegoating behavior... they feel they are at least superior to something else. And that takes their mind off their own guilt.

I’ve heard that there are a disproportionate number of people who were abused as kids, doing time now.
I don’t know this from experience mind you, just sayin’ that’s what I’ve heard.

People to whom it was done, do it to others.
I know someone in prison for this very thing and he was a victim of it himself.
You’d think for as much as they hate what happened to them, they’d not want to do it to someone else and inflict it on them.
I don’t get why they’d do it to someone else.

Give me a break. No one on FR defends or supports pedophiles.
From what I’ve heard, it’s because they are not horrified by behavior which horrifies the rest of us.
And because being victimized changes people’s perceptions of what is allowable or acceptable.
No mention of a sitting U.S. Senator being one of the suspects? I guess Robert Menendez can breathe a sigh of relief!
