Today is the 210th anniversary of the greatest concert of all time.
Beethoven concert of 22 December 1808
"The Beethoven concert of 22 December 1808 was a benefit concert held for Ludwig van Beethoven at the Theater an der Wien in Vienna that featured the public premieres of Beethoven's Fifth and Sixth Symphonies, the Fourth Piano Concerto and the Choral Fantasy."
H/T to my friend Matthew B. Tepper for calling attention to this.

Wonderful, thank you for posting EveningStar.
I thought the greatest was the Stones at the Greek
Well see ...on my last comment, I am seriously looking for some great Wanda Landowska ...
Harpsicord.
I don’t know, man. After reading most of the Wiki article you linked to, one might be too charitable to call it the greatest of all time.
I didnt see any mention of a laser light show or pyrotechnics.
Hmm ... well, here. But played at top volume!

Wanda playing Bach.
Not so much for the performances as for the works that were introduced.
Greatest live rock album of all time.
Was it recorded? /s
Where’s the video?
Although influenced by the recent release of Bohemian Raposdy, I would have to say LiveAid was the greatest concert ever. I actually, don’t remember the Queen performance and my have not been part of the US broadcast but the totality of top name muscians and thier performances make it an event that surpassed previous and will never be duplicated.
This was back when MTV actually played music.
He had phenomenal musical imagination. He kept doing the unexpected, thereby charting new waters for other musically-minded geniuses to explore.
He’s my favorite. The 6th and “Emperor” I know by heart — they are always fresh and new every time.

Is this concert on UTube? ;-)
During LVB’s intro concert for his 7th Symphony, after the heart-wrenching 2nd movement, the audience erupted in applause, and demanded an encore not once, but TWICE, before the concert could complete. Afterwards, the sheet music became the best-selling of all time.
was there a moshpit?
