My high school turned into one in the early 70’s when government forced busing upon us.

That’s also when the cops began patrolling the halls too.

That’s when I also witnessed Holder’s People’s beating the snot of my homeroom teacher.

Busing, only the government could think this a good thing. ...and no, not a Martha Steward good thing either.

I may be an army of one in my outlook/quest but schools as presently constituted and assembled are an anachronism.

Much of modern life is a holdover from agrarian times. Agrarian America was supported by a three-legged stool of family, church and school. As you well know, the fascist left has targeted the family for destruction and only the instincts of man are preventing its disappearance under the constant assault of depravity, promiscuity, illegitimacy, dependency, drugs, etc.

It goes without saying that the church has been targeted. Yesterday's cross ruling was a flyspeck in the ocean. Unfortunately, much of the church's destruction is of its own making thanks to liberal senior clergy members including, now, the Marxist Pope.

This leaves the schools which were once a place of actual learning ie the transmission of knowledge. Obviously that's out the window. It was also a place of socialization (the good, supervised kind) and matriculation. High school graduates were once viewed as fully-formed adults and generally behaved like it. Now they are like pre-teens: spoiled, immature and unprepared.

Schools escaped the fascist assault because fascists realized that schools could be subsumed and radicalized while retaining the veneer of respectability, even affection. But fascists co-opted the curriculum and, through the union sham, the teachers. People are obviously sentimental about their children and they still think schools act in loco parentis. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

The point of all this is that mandatory attendance at public schools is itself an anachronism. If the schools' mission is to educate and high-achieving students are their show ponies at tax levy time, why are high-achieving students (almost always the most well-behaved) corralled into large, mostly unsupervised spaces with addicts, perverts, sociopaths, thugs, drug dealers, and idiots? How does this make a lick of sense? The bad ones get worse and the good ones get threatened, corrupted and generally dragged down.

We are far too lenient and forgiving with regard to kids who simply shouldn't be in a classroom.

Geographical catchment areas are also an anachronism. They are a ruse to jack up property taxes in desirable residential areas of town. Why aren't schools segregated - yes, SEGREGATED - by ability, interest, career path, etc? Why is a math whiz wasting a semester in a class they could probably test out of because the math whiz is stuck in a classroom with wasters who are 'socially promoted' even when they fail? It's madness and it starts at too early an age.
