“spat off a balcony and hit the person below”
Bad, but it doesn’t seem that he deliberately spit at the black person, more like he just spit off the balcony, still not good, and it happened to hit a person below, who happened to be black. The kid still needs to be thought manners that you don’t go around spitting anywhere.
this is like when Michael Scott ( the Office) dropped a watermelon, and it hit Stanley’s ( a black employee) car.
He was worried that was a hate crime, too.

Done all the time by young, immature kids. . .I’ve done this many times, and sometimes wind currents shifted the spit.
I was never racially motivated and always tried to avoid spitting on others (didn’t want to get my butt beat by the guy I accidentally hit, or my butt beat by my dad).
EVERYTHING is racist these days.
