How are people dying out of hospitals making anyone (except funeral homes) any money?
I keep seeing this crap posted. Medicare is not paying anyone a penny for a death outside a hospital.
You people are spewing the first thought that comes into your heads without checking it at all.
Hospitals are required to treat people, even if indigent and uninsured. Generally they end up eating those costs so they do everything they can to avoid that situation. (this is why Michelle Obama had a $300K per year job redirecting such patients to other hospitals).
Hospitals are seeing this as a golden opportunity to clear their books of these cases by collecting COVID reimbursement.
Too many people in this country are in denial over the fact that healthcare is a bidness.
