Status of Hydroxychloroquine at Pharmacies for Home use with doctors script About 3 weeks ago, Senator Ron Johnson from Wisconsin wrote the attached letter to President Trump. Sen. Johnson requested a Presidential Executive Order requiring pharmacies to fill a doctors prescription for hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) for home use. HCQ has been shown to lessen the severity and length of CoVid-19 symptoms. What happens now when someone like you and I or our family members tests positive for CoVid-19? They tell you to stay at home and often you get worse after 4 or 5 days. There is no Standard of Care. There is no effective treatment. Why? Are the rich elites sacrificing peoples care by waiting for more expensive treatments and vaccines? President Trump has not issued an executive order yet. Pharmacy boards in Texas and governors in New York and Nevada are not allowing pharmacies to fill the HCQ scripts if the diagnosis code is CoVid-19. Most scripts do not require a diagnosis code, but HCQ does in the above states and others. What are we going to do about this lack of care and being told to stay home and get worse, go to hospital and possibly die? Is there anyone out there with easy access to Sen. Ron Johnson or the White House to help nudge President Trump to issue an Executive Order allowing the use of HCQ at home?
Why isn’t Gov Abbott in TX doing something about these Soros Pharmacy Boards in TX?
At home, with a DR prescription and followup DR care for refills over 7 - 14 days, just like an antibiotic
It is stunning the way the leftist lobbies and governors have inserted themselves into DR-patient care by pressuring the pharmacies - just for this drug
The pharmacy board in Texas reversed it’s ruling last week after the Dallas doc was on Laura Ingraham and a state congressman got involved.
Everyone should consider signing the letter. While the letter is drafted as coming from doctors, the sign up page includes medical professionals and ‘concerned patients.’ Also consider giving Senator Johnson a call to thank him for taking the initiative to get this train back on track.

I guess Sen Johnson missed this....
Texas Pharmacy Board Backs Down on Coronavirus Medicine Restrictions
https://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3845936/posts
...The Texas pharmacy board changed its guidance so that physicians are no longer required to provide a written diagnosis when prescribing hydroxychloroquine for coronavirus patients.
After outrage from grassroots Texans, state bureaucrats backed down on requiring physicians to submit a written diagnosis when prescribing a drug claimed to have had very positive results treating the Chinese coronavirus....
Good for Sen Johnson.
Dr Zev Zelenko suggested this (that POTUS sign an EO allowing ALL pharmacies to dispense HCQ w/or w/out a COVID19/China Flu diagnosis), weeks ago.
Hoping this picks up steam.
For best use add zinc to the treatment regimen and if needed add doxycycline. HCQ has two and possibly three modes of efficacy: it is a proven anti-inflammatory used with Lupus and RA; it is a proven ionophore to ferry zinc into infected cells where the zinc stops replication of the virons; it may change the chemical environment at ACE2 receptor sites thus slowing virus getting into cells to be replicated by the cell. Taking HCQ alone is failing to utilize its other efficacies.
Yes.
Dr Zelenko’s protocol has been known/posted (here), for weeks.
Good reminder to those who may just be finding out. :-)
The propaganda agenda was immediately evident with the media fifth column when they tried the whine that giving HCQ liberally would reduce availability for Lupus and RA patients while at the same time whining that HCQ is dangerous, causing heart complications and killing hospitalized patients. Amazing how that ploy went so ignored for lo these many weeks!
You dont necessarily need HCQ to get zinc into you cells: Quercetin and a component of green tea (EGCG) ALSO act as zinc ionophores.
Not a short article, but quite thorough and well footnotes. According to the article, 1,000 mg/day of Quercetin will have the same effect as the HCQ dosage thats been used for the Kungflu. The EGCG can have some negative interactions with some medications, but the Quercetin seems to be utterly safe. NO PRESCRIPTION NEEDED!
“According to the article, 1,000 mg/day of Quercetin will have the same effect as the HCQ dosage thats been used for the Kungflu.”
I doubt that. I’m guessing the article errs by trying to use in vitro studies to estimate dosage, but Quercetin’s bioavailability is much less than HCQ’s.
Here’s the relevant portion of the article. Unfortunately, the article doesn’t say which studies it’s basing the dosage claim on.
“Studies are showing that Quercetin is about 35% as potent as hydrolchloroquine for the zinc transport function.
Based on our hydroxychloroquine and coronavirus review, they were using 400 mg to start and 200 for follow up days.
That would put the quercetin dosage just over 1000 mg per day which fits with the safelty test above (500 mg x 2 for 12 weeks).”
GREAT NEWS WISH I HAD KNOWN. THANK YOU
Jane. I communicated with Dr.Izette Lozano on Friday, May 22nd. She said that it is not true. She still cannot get HCQ at a pharmacy in Texas for CoVid-19 patients.
Does anyone know how to get through to Sen. Ron Johnson or the White House to ask about a Trump Executive Order to solve the HCQ problem at pharmacies nation-wide?
