Texas has reported two consecutive days of record-breaking Covid-19 hospitalizations as the state continues to open businesses and resume activities that were temporarily shuttered due to the coronavirus.

There are currently 2,056 patients sickened with Covid-19 in hospitals across the state as of early Tuesday afternoon, up from a record 1,935 patients Monday, according to updated data from the Texas Department of State Health Services.

Texans be careful out there.

With the Democratic Party protest/rioting over the past couple of weeks, I'm expecting hospitalizations to rise with rioters getting the virus and going to the hospital.

I think ICU utilization is in the 70-75% range statewide now.

The virus is over, this is just more of a scam to stop reopening.

Maybe its because of the protests.

Yeah, nothing much to do with opening but the riots and protest.

But look for the LMSM to blame reopening!

Yep. Texas has 20,000 hospital beds and have the 11th lowest total of deaths/million population. They have 65 vs. NY at 1572. It’s a joke. Media sees no problem with rioting and marching but Trump wants to hold a rally or the repubs want to hold their convention? no way! lol

The population of Texas is what?, about 30 million or so?

2,000 people out of a population of 30 million?

And 90 to 90% of those cases are mild or asymptomatic.

IMO, cases can rise. It’s about managing the cases that come in.

As long as were under the curve we can ride it and keep opening.

“Are the hospitals going to be overloaded?”

Not yet. CNBC reporter on TV today said Texas ICU utilization was at 71% this morning but hospitals have the ability to increase capacity somewhat.

Many of the Democratic Party rioters will end up in the hospital though.

Record breaking because the foretold spike in hospitalizations turned out to be a molehill. Remember we were TOLD the spike would overwhelm hospitals? Some have gone out of business because they were EMPTY.

BS FAKE NEWS

This is so stupid. Nowhere do they bother to mention that Texas is also increasing its rate of testing, thereby increasing the number of discovered cases.

This is exactly when you would expect a rash of hospitalizations caused by the riots of last week. The riots started 12 days ago, and the incubation period is 2-14 days.

The question is, where are the hospitalizations. Are they in the big cities (Dallas, Austin, Houston)? Are they in Galveston (beach goers)? Or are they spread throughout the state.

Meanwhile, Virginia’s hospitalizations have been dropping steadily.

I guess that means no football in Texas this Fall. Much too risky.

Of course, it could just be that a few medical workers stupidly went to the protests, got the virus, took it into some nursing homes, and this is a spike because they finally are killing off the old people there.
