Writing in the Charleston Gazette, a retired teacher and former mentor of West Virginia’s only PBS News Hour Student Reporting Lab slammed charter and private schools, comparing them to Islamic schools from whence the terrorists who attacked America on 9/11 came.
In a piece titled, “Charter schools, vouchers will erode what unites us,” Susan Johnson lauds public schools, writing, “The American public school is where we learn to be Americans.”
In May 2020, Education Next reported that some public schools across the nation were adopting the 1619 project into their curriculum, noting, “Schools or school districts in Chicago; Newark, N.J.; Buffalo, N.Y., and Washington, D.C. all announced 1619 Project-related events. The Pulitzer Center’s annual report says more than 3,500 classrooms used the materials.”
The 1619 project has been harshly criticized by prominent historians for its inaccurate depiction of American history.

No, piblic schools USED to be where children learned to be Americans. Now they are taught to hate America and to be good little socialists.

At this point in time public schools are not teaching, they are indoctrinating children with socialist and communist doctrine.
Well educated and scholastically advanced students are graduating from charter and private schools.
Academic test scores, SAT ect, attest to the truth of this.
My wife is a teacher but not allowed to teach real and true history. She is made to teach factually altered history.
Private and charter schools remain a good alternative to pubic schools. My kid is in public school and it is relatively neutral, being in an affluent suburb. The states and local governments must take back the public schools from FedGov authority. Their educational system should be tailored to the place they are. Does a Navajo child, a child on the Alaskan north slope and a child in the Florida keys need to know the exact same thing? No! Let the states decide, they are the ones under the constitution who decide what is taught.
Teachers used to be hired by a local group and work for the values of the community and the education of the children. There was no national education association. There were no federal programs in education. It takes a government to ruin a nation.
The NEA is really pushing a lot of bs. I would expect in the next month or so, some really draconian measures in favor of the unions (who by the way, aren’t always liked by the teachers).
A lot of teachers in the union are pushing the diatribe baloney. I’m over it. I’m glad I left the union, they do nothing for us but take our money.

Yup. Private Christian academy grad here. The nerve of these charters schools that actually teach, not lecture the students. Instead of teaching George Washington crossing the Delaware, today’s public skool’ teacher asks why there were no faggots in Washington’s army, and that climate change was the cause of his crossing, and not the redcoats..

The Ministry of Education really hates anyone escaping their indoctrination centers.
It only makes the job of the Ministry of Propaganda that much harder when there are people who can think for themselves.

To EVERYONE reading this, this is THE FIGHT that TRUMPS all other FIGHT’s. I love Trump but I don’t know of any concrete improvement Betsy Devos did to Public Education. We’ve got to get America hating marxist/socialists/communists like Johnson out of the classroom one way or another.
The Department of Education and the NEA need to be abolished! No compromise should ever be considered if your a Patriot.
Private schools are racist! They teach math and make students show their work (the horror!).

When Obama was an Illinois Senator he and Bill (step on the American flag) Ayers had gained total control of the distribution of funds from the Annenberg foundation which they passed its millions on to lefty fronts offering courses to Illinois and Chicago schools pushing the what soon would be the BLM agenda. Author and investigative reporter Stanley Kurtz should be asked about this when interviewed about socialist plans for the suburbs. For at that time when Obama was doing this Kurtz tried to expose those radical left study programs over a program held by WGN radio’s Extension 720 hosted by Milton Rosenberg but was threatened by protesters who prevented a cohearent presentation.
Remember, folks, public schools are anti-American, left-wing indoctrination camps. Get your children out of them asap. Find a good private school or better yet homeschool if you can. Your children’s future, sanity, and ability to reason are at stake. Don’t just assume that their public indoctrination camp is fine because they get good test scores and there aren’t drug dealers there.
Communist Purge Underway & Nothing Is Being Done About It!
American public schools and many private schools have become incubators of socialism. Give parents a choice as to where they want to send their children to school, schools they pay for, and see where the demand for real education resides.
