Lots of people are buying guns with that money, ammo is really hard to come by, though.
We’ve been through the ammo shortages several times. We know that there will be ammo for those who are patient. Feinstein’s assault weapons ban has a chance to pass. Under her bill, everyone who has AR-15s by then will keep them.
Some of the small, local dealers have ammunition off and on for their regular customers. Anyone who needs some should get acquainted and keep in touch with them. Many of them get nice firearms and accessories and can be surprisingly reasonable with prices. I know one who sold some 9mm FMJ in 50-round boxes for $22 a box a few nights ago, but he’s not set up for Internet orders or shipping and has a limit of one box per sale. Same with 5.56, .45 and more.
I bought a few hundred rounds of 9mm and 38 on Saturday.
