Biden's Only Reason to Have a US Consulate to the PLO in Jerusalem is to Undermine Israeli Sovereignty

Biden, or rather Hady Amr, his point man on the conflict, an anti-Israel bundler to his campaign, is pushing to open a consulate to the PLO in Jerusalem.

Secretary of State Blinken and assorted State Department people insist that the United States needs a direct line to the Palestinian Authority.

But there's no reason for that direct line to be in Jerusalem.

The PLO's capital is in Ramallah. The 19th century former Christian city taken over by Muslims serves as the capital of the Palestinian Authority. That's where Mahmoud Abbas, the PA's leader, who just canceled the latest set of elections, lives. That's where its government is located.

China's diplomatic mission to the Palestinian Authority is based out of Ramallah. The Russians and the Germans also have diplomatic missions in Ramallah. Some European countries have their missions set up in Jerusalem and others have them set up in Ramallah.

Whatever your politics are, Ramallah makes the most sense because that's where the PLO government is actually based.

The only reason to have a US consulate in Jerusalem is to undermine Israel's sovereignty. It's not the best way to be in contact with PLO leaders, but it helps the PLO stake a claim to Jerusalem.

The move violates Israeli sovereignty and US law.

Blinken claims that the consulate needs to be in Jerusalem as a "platform to be able to more effectively engage not just the Palestinian Authority, but Palestinians from different walks of life, the NGO community, the business community, and others.”

That's bizarre.

America's top diplomatic official is proposing a diplomatic mission based not around the Palestinian Authority, the terror state that he claims to be engaging, but NGO's, that is non-profit organizations and the "business community".

Meanwhile, he's arguing that the US needs to have a consulate to head off another conflict.

This is self-contradictory nonsense whose real rationale is very clearly supporting the PLO's claim to Jerusalem.

Jerusalem is not under PLO control. Biden and the Democrats would like it to be. But since it isn't, any consulate to the PLO ought to be set up in Ramallah. Not in the territory of a sovereign country, Israel, that doesn't want it there.

This is an attack on Israel sovereignty and an attempt to prop up a terror state's claims to Israel's capital.

“What is a persona non grata?

“In literal terms, the phrase is Latin for ‘an unwelcome person.’ The term in a diplomatic sense refers to a foreign person whose entering or remaining in a certain country is prohibited by that country.

“The designation received diplomatic meaning at the 1961 Vienna Convention for Diplomatic Relations. Under Article 9 of the treaty, a country can declare any member of a diplomatic staff persona non grata at any time and without having to explain its decision.’”

I suspect Biden’s consulate will have a hard time retaining staff.

It’s not something Israel has to put up with.

It’s Israel’s territory.

Just tell the U. S. the Consulate cannot be placed there.

“Ramallah is generally considered the most affluent and cultural, as well as the most liberal, of all Palestinian cities”

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramallah

“Yasser Arafat established his West Bank headquarters, the Mukataa, in Ramallah. Although considered an interim solution, Ramallah became the de facto capital of the Palestinian Authority, now officially known as the State of Palestine. It hosts almost all governmental headquarters. In December 2001, Arafat held meetings at the Mukataa, but lived with his wife and daughter in Gaza City. After suicide bombings in Haifa, Arafat was confined to the Ramallah compound. In 2002, the compound was partly demolished by the Israeli Defense Forces and Arafat’s building was cut off from the rest of the compound.”

“On November 11, 2004 Arafat died at the Percy training hospital of the Armies near Paris. He was buried in the courtyard of the Mukataa on November 12, 2004. The site still serves as the Ramallah headquarters of the Palestinian Authority, as well the official West Bank office of Mahmoud Abbas.”

Ramallah is six miles north of Jerusalem.

We all known how the Biden crime family works. Federal money is tossed overseas then corrupt foreigners send a piece back to the Biden's. The bribe ratio is large enough to make the case that the Biden's treat our money as little more than useful trash.

Kudos to the long-forgotten Freeper who years ago predicted this exact turn of events. If I remember correctly, the guy worked in a U.S. diplomatic mission in East Jerusalem that everyone in the State Dept. understood to be the future U.S. “embassy” in some manifestation of Palestine.

Does anyone actually think the Abraham Accords will actually last?

This admin, with the help of the Muslim Brotherhood, that has been lying in wait for a new friend or their old friend to come back, will subvert every country in the region to bring about more chaos and violence.

This is the Red Line of Spiritual Disposition. When this happens expect Judgement to fall on America. The Left hates God. They hate his Torah, and will never submit to it. They hate Jesus, the real Jesus, whose Torah Observance is ignored. To them, the God of the Bible doesn’t really exist, so they have the prerogative to modify his Law to suit themselves. By its very existence, Israel asserts His existence and Authority. Israel must be destroyed, or made unrecognizable, in order for the secular progressive utopian vision to be realized. This they will do, short of direct Divine Intervention. Let us pray.

Biden’s Presidency will be more hostile to Israel, and more helpful to the Palestinians and Jihads around the World, then Obama’s was. For Biden’s 1st is really Obama’s 3rd term, and he is freer to aid the Jihads now, under Biden’s name, then he was under his own.

The Mullahs will have their bomb before the end of Biden’s term, and they’ll use it.

“The PLO’s capital is in Ramallah.”

They’re putting it in Jerusalem for political reasons, but also because if they put it in Ramallah it would be blown to smithereens within a week.
