New Zealand will ease COVID-19 measures and implement a new system for living with the virus next month, according to a Reuters report.
The country has seen one of the strictest lockdowns in the world and will move away from its "zero COVID" policy to allow businesses and vaccinated people more freedom, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced on Monday.
The new policy will be implemented on Dec. 2 at 11:59 p.m., with Arden acknowledging that "delta is here and not going away."

The whole world should be doing this. Whether we like it or not, SARS-COV-2, like SARS-COV-1 is already with us and nothing we do is going to change that fact.

Had my booster on Saturday. Today will resume my daily gum routine. The jabs have helped me avoid covid symptoms altogether for almost 9 months now. And will board Royal Caribbean ship coming Monday for 2nd cruise in 2 months. Thank God unvaxxed people are not allowed to enter the ship. All non-vaxxed, enjoy your basement.

Everyone should be given a choice a their choices respected.
Vaccinated people get sick and spread the virus too, it’s just they have a lower chance of serious complications.
I wish my husband would get vaccinated, but he’s had some problems with vaccines in the past. He thinks his risk from the vaccine is greater than risk from the illness. I disagree, but respect his decision.
Can’t everyone just be free and respect each other’s decision.

Recent events demonstrate clearly that the vaccines have almost no value against the new variants and in fact damage many people’s immune systems New Zealand has one of the highest vaccination rates in the world. They have also had some of the most restrictive anti-covid regulations.
I assume that those in charge are beginning to worry about the political backlash. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, although it will be subject to the same level of censorship as all other Covid coverage.
Your attitude is just as bad as the ones pushing vaccine mandates.
