IMHO case law is the worst of the law. It is a slippery slope to undermine the Constitution.

“the court’s lurch toward political activism”

Stopped reading right there. Either the writer is woefully ignorant, or he thinks his readers are.

Hmmm... The retard writing this article is complaining about the wrong end of the Supreme Court.

He should focus on the ‘wise’ one... who did the outrageous backflip between the Covid decision and the Abortion decision.

In one case she is for bodily autonomy and in the other she is against it.

Go figure.

‘wise’... roflol

I don’t remember anything in the constitution about murdering unborn babies.

I liked the time MSNBC said the same thing about Obamacare!

Such integrity and consistency!

Courts claim, in practice, that past bad decisions justify future bad decisions.

...a case that provides a constitutional right.

Which is NOT how the Constitution was to be amended. Period. The SCOTUS does not, nor was ever intended, to have such a power.

No matter how much bleating the idiot Left does about it.

Wonder if it was activism when they passed Roe v Wade all those years ago?

Yeah... SCOTUS doesn't get to "provide a constitutional right".

A majority of the Supreme Court is acting more like a political body than a judicial one.

Put some solarcaine on that burn, MSNBC. We've complained about that for DECADES, and you had no time for us. Now, we're stopping baby murders, and you NPCs are screaming. TOO BAD.

Suppose Roe v Wade is overturned.
Doesn’t that mean that the law covering such things reverts to the states, each state individually ?

Justice Sonia Sotomayor summarized the consequence of the court’s decision in one sentence: “This case is a disaster for the rule of law and a grave disservice to women in Texas, who have a right to control their own bodies.”

We would take The Wide Latina Clown more seriously if she hadn't just got done ruling that women in Texas who work for health care and for large businesses have no right to control their own bodies.

Clown.

“IMHO case law is the worst of the law.”

I agree. The Constitution says laws are made by the Legislative branch, not the Executive or Judicial.

The author writes for MSNBC, a Leftist fake-news outlet that runs propaganda for the Democrat Party. The Marxist cabal doesn’t want a Supreme Court that is guided strictly by Constitutional Law. They rely on activist judges who are ideologues to subvert the Constitution. This is clearly a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Yeah, the Constitution waxes eloquent about abortion ‘rights’.

They would be acting like a political body rather than a court?

Oh like the original Roe v. Wade which legislated right to abortion.

I think the most blatant judicial legislating was gay marriage.

overturn a case that provides a constitutional right,
***I would like to see where in the constitution there is such a right. There is that pesky phrase in the declaration of independence: RIGHT TO LIFE, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
