Say what you want about the 1970s, the decade did produce some of the greatest television shows and movies of all time.

I was 9 years old in 1976 and LIVED to see the Six Million Dollar Man episode every week......LOL.

I think in my mother’s basement still lies a Steve Austin action figure in a red jump suit complete with a model of a v8 engine that he can arm curl! LOL

Say what you want about the 1970s, the decade did produce some of the greatest television shows and movies of all time.

The Sixties and Seventies gave us classic TV. I don't think a lot of is was that great, but you can't take away the fact that it was classic and iconic and memorable.

Also, the sitcom seems to have died since then. There are still network sitcoms, but nobody watches them or remembers them.

What you get on cable is better but it doesn't fit the classic, comfortable sitcom model, so the Seventies sitcoms are a highpoint for the traditional sitcom genre.
