Marc Racicot, a former Montana governor and former chair of the Republican National Committee, has written a letter to current RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel calling for her to lead the committee in reversing course on the recently passed resolution censuring GOP Reps. Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Adam Kinzinger of Illinois.
Both Cheney and Kinzinger have been been outspoken critics of former President Donald Trump, and they are the only two Republicans serving on the House select committee tasked investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
“My suggestion and request is that you lead the Committee through the process of withdrawing and dismissing the RNC Resolution rebuking and deserting Representatives Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger. I urge the pursuit of this remedy with the understanding that we’re human, that politics is a competitive enterprise and that sometimes we make mistakes. But I also believe in such a situation the final measure of our character is whether we have the insight and courage to humbly and honestly correct them,” Racicot wrote.
Racicot told McDaniel that he believes she and other RNC members will regret the passage of the censure resolution.
“Based on my decades of engagement in Republican politics, my intuition tells me that you and the other members of the RNC will come to regret, if you don’t already, the passage of the RNC Resolution. It appears possible, and maybe even probable, that the RNC Resolution, with its incendiary language and histrionics, has advanced the very threat that you accuse Representatives Cheney and Kinzinger of creating, namely the diminution of the chances for Republican electoral success in 2022,” he wrote.

Probably because it now allows the party to find Cheney's opponent. And ya see, that's NOT supposed to be allowed.
So they're stomping their feet and clutching their pearls and trotting out has-beens.

Ronna-The-RINO-Romney needs to step down. She’s shameful. Said Biden won. Didn’t defend PDJT over January 6 lies. Wasn’t there to provide support, choosing instead to party with the elites in Florida that day.
The person is a Trump hater.
The RINO’s need a few crushing defeats for them to understand that they are a small minority. They still think they can run the show. The vast majority of them need to be purged. A few might be able to recognize which way the wind is blowing and save themselves. I’d guess some will come around after RINOs get slaughtered this year and in 2024 but it will take two successive drubbings in Republican primaries for reality to set in for them.
About once a month I get a call from the RNC asking for my continued support, I stop them from talking saying I’m not giving a penny more to then RINO party that didn’t support Trump.
Sure explains a lot, doesn’t it. We’ve been hoodwinked for decades by the RNC and wonder how we got in this disgusting mess in our country. And clearly, nothing’s changed.
I get those calls too. And I give them an earful.
If they’re hearing this lots from the tank and file, it was likely the reason for the censure. And if the Elites lose their influence within the party, they’ll be EVEN MORE upset!
Diminution is in the eye of the beholder.
And another RINO name to add to the list of your party’s great.

Obviously some form of bride is possible but from purely political stand point it wouldn’t make sense to dismiss the censure. Cheney is pretty unpopular in her home state and Trump still has huge “In Party” approval.
My advice is caution. These jerks play so many head games with people, like carrot and stick.

The absurdist quality of Racicot’s letter is revealed in its reliance on his “intuition” as its basis — not facts or principle or reasoned argument but Racicot’s “intuition” that the RNC got things wrong by disavowing Cheney and Kinzinger. That is worse than wrong, it is goofy.
Every person mentioned in that headline is a despicable, lying, traitorous RINO, almost as repulsive as the Turtle.

‘Ran as a conservative’ - then got a proposal for a state-wide sales tax on the ballot (Montana does NOT have a sales tax though several areas have a local sales tax think Big Sky, skiing and W. Yellowstone, tourism and each area voted it in rather than a committee ‘approving’ it).
The measure went down 70% to 30%.

After reelection he did the SAME DAMN THIN AGAIN!
We tossed the ballot measure out 75% to 25%.
Then he moved to DC to work for Bush 43.
