Given those realities, why would they stop? A winning strategy is a winning strategy - no need to change it until or unless it becomes ineffective.
In a sane, virtuous society stealing the presidential election would have been the last straw. But it wasn't. Because of that the leftist scum got the message: Do whatever you want with impunity. And to top it off be sure to rub the "opposition's" nose in shit, day after day, year after year - because it helps to demoralize that opposition and you can do that without negative consequences.
