I was looking at the platform of the winner, and am hard pressed to call this a loss. This is a problem for President Trump: too many races out there are “an abundance of riches”, with more than one good conservative candidate in them.
The winner is a hog farmer, and a veterinarian, and sits on the Board of Regents for the state. His website is that of an old school Goldwater conservative.
“I will fight the socialist agenda at every turn. I believe in American exceptionalism, innovation and a good old-fashioned work ethic. I will oppose anything that will put government bureaucrats between patients and doctors and any policy that penalizes hard-work or incentivizes government dependency. We will stop efforts to implement massive new regulations that will kill jobs and harm our economy.”
Thanks for the description of the winner who edged out the Trump pick. Sounds like a solid MAGA guy as well.
This is an old GOPe trick. Have multiple "conservative" candidates (both real and pretend) to dilute the vote so the RINO gets in.
The fact that Linstrom lost is a huge relief. I was worried that the conservative votes would be split and he would come out the winner. The press had praised him as the "moderate" who was actively seeking Democrats and Independents to vote in the Republican primary. That would have been a huge defeat for MAGA if Lindstrom had won.
Reporters asked Pillen why he would accept the endorsement of Kleine, a former Democrat. He was the establishment guy. Then they used the Brett Kavanaugh attack against him right before the election. Accusations without proof.
“This is a problem for President Trump: too many races out there are “an abundance of riches”, with more than one good conservative candidate in them“
Did you mean to say it’s not a problem for President Trump? Because it’s not.
The same thing is true here in PA.
If Kathy Barnette beats Trump-endorsed Oz, President Trump wins, because she is the better MAGA candidate anyway.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he claims her as win.
