Has Ukraine News Fatigue Set In?

While it may seem like all eyes have been on the country since Putin launched the attack on February 24, six months down the line, a tail off in global interest has begun to set in.

Zelensky, The Ukrainian president has always been aware how crucial it would be for his country's success that the attention and sympathies of Western powers (and people) were maintained - signified for example by the many speeches he has held to governments around the world, as well as ongoing public requests for financial and military support.

As data from Google shows however, the war has already been shifted out of focus for most Google News users. After a peak in interest as the war broke out in February, search popularity for 'Ukraine' on the site has by now returned to almost pre-war levels. This doesn't necessarily mean that people care any less, but is rather a symptom of a phenomenon known as 'news fatigue'.

Maybe more people have finally wised up enough to ask if it’s really a hot war...

Maybe the Young Churchill in a dirty green T-shirt needs to be rebranded? Perhaps a trip to Washington to pick up his check?

Or are sick of seeing our tax payer dollars that is being printed up and sent there for what.. I don’t think much is going to help the war or the people there. We are giving them all the food and weapons they need. How many billions have been sent.

For many, all the rotten things happening in America has taken over. A lady I know who was a big Ukraine so called fangirl, is now sick of all the money going there and sick of hearing about Ukraine.

Skyrocketing food and gas prices has ended her Ukrainitis.

I have always been repulsed by Biden’s people placing Ukraine flags in their offices by our flag. I have no allegiance, nor do I feel any responsibility for Ukraine.

Bingo. The ukraine has been used as a ATM for a long time. I think biden family is the only one to get caught. I heard pelosi son and another politicians son also had a “company” there. Let your druggy kid handle it and mistakes are made.

I’m missing something about our Elite and their support the Ukraine. It goes deeper than money, and it sure as hell isn’t about morality and justice. The biolabs might be a clue.

If I lived in Ukraine this would be a big deal, but I don’t. There are hot spots all over the world. My concern right now is regarding domestic issues, like the US border being invaded. That’s the one that matters to me.

Apparently it has for the UN...

🆕🔥🔥🔥The West is getting worse at pushing through the anti-Russian agenda at the UN

So, in March, the West managed to “put the squeeze on” 141 UN countries to sign a resolution demanding that Russia stop the special operation in Ukraine

Already in April, only 93 countries agreed to approve a resolution suspending Russia’s participation in the UN HRC

In August, 54 countries signed a document expressing regret that Russia did not stop the special operation🔥🔥🔥

If we’re being scammed, even though we don’t live in Ukraine it’s still a big deal.

We’re allowing ourselves to be suckered.

Again.

A lot of people tried to compare it to Poland during world war ii. I compared it more to austria.

Their bellicosity and belligerence reminds me of the build up to the Iraq war in 2003. They were just as insufferable back then and just as wrong.

This is interesting and surprising. It comes from a Ukrainian Telegram site that has an inside source in the OP (Office of the President.)

https://t.me/s/rezident_ua/

Resident
⚡️⚡️ ⚡️#Inside
Our source in the OP said that the Cabinet of Ministers has prepared data for the Office of the President on the negative trend in the reduction of the population of Ukraine. The figure of 40-42 million is just for statistics, even before the war the real population barely exceeded 33-34 million, while Luhansk and Donetsk regions were considered. About 7 million left Ukraine after the start of the war. Minus Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Russian-controlled territories of Zaporozhye, Kherson and Kharkiv regions. There are about 19-20 million left.

Hence, a whole range of problems, ranging from a shortage of labor resources and a reduction in the tax base to conscription in the army. Losses, even on the lowest scale of assessments, which Zaluzhny announced, are becoming much more tangible.

Our source in the OP said that the General Staff is asking the Office of the President to allow the mobilization of women from narrow professions, the shortage of which is now felt in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As an alternative to the trial “format” - work in the rear.
