We've got 40 million people on welfare that are being paid NOT to work, how can there be too few workers?

Well, they are on welfare, so they are not workers.

Plus a decent share of those 40 million are illegal immigrants. Last week, our regional boss from Mexico visited the plant where I work.

He told me that they have labor shortages down there. I kid you not!

Two of the plants are border towns. They suffer the worst. His plant is in Monterrey. It suffers as well.

While the wages are cheap by American standards, they are very good by Mexican standards. Mexicans love to eat and the plant caters very nice fare for all shifts, free of charge, as one of the perks of working for us. And they STILL have problems getting enough workers.
