A North Carolina high-school volleyball athlete has suffered a severe injury after a transgender player threw an “abnormally fast” ball at her head, newly released video footage shows.
The male opponent hurled the volleyball at approximately 70 mph, according to the Daily Mail. One bystander claimed that it was “abnormally” fast, the publication said. The female teammate at Hiwassee Dam High School experienced trauma to the head and neck, reportedly.
She is still recovering from long-term concussion symptoms, including problems with her vision. She has not yet been approved to compete again.
Hiwassee Dam will forfeit all games against the transgender player’s school, a decision made by the Cherokee County school board in a five to one vote.
The board mentioned concerns about safety without addressing the transgender component, the fact that a biological male with a significant physical advantage overpowered a female player.
“The County will not participate in any volleyball games, varsity or junior varsity, against Highlands due to safety concerns,” the minutes from the board’s meeting read.
Hiwassee Dam’s athletic director attended the school-board meeting and declared that “statement needs to be made that it [was] unfair and unsafe” for his team to go up against Highlands school.
“There is a competitive advantage and a safety concern for certain teams — it’s not the same for all teams,” the school board’s vice chair Jeff Martin said. “I can tell you that the board wasn’t searching out this kind of thing. It was brought to our attention based on safety concerns.”
“The biggest thing for us, especially after seeing the video of the injury, we felt very strongly that it was a safety concern,” board member Jeff Tatham said. “I think most of the board members also felt like there’s a competitive advantage issue.”

Anyone familiar with volleyball knows this happens once in a while even with same sex players. It is CRIMINAL for school officials to allow this to happen when there is obviously a mismatch in size and strength among the players. If I were the parents, I would bring charges against those responsible.
They do throw back and forth in *warm-ups. It was a team mate. The jerk tranny should go to prison for assault. No reason to throw that hard.
*I have been going to volleyball games for the past two months and have seen lots of warm-ups. They vary a bit from school to school

I recognize that. Still should not be playing in a girls’ team. The schools need some lawsuits against this stuff.

They were smart to do that. If they'd come out and said trannies shouldn't be playing against real females then every news outlet in the country would have immediately branded them transphobic bigots. By simply stating "safety" and leaving the obvious unsaid they take away the left's talking points.

You can see on the video...It was during the game...The guy leaped up and HIT the ball at the girl...No “throw” involved...

Yes, the reality is “safety” is a fallback position that is hard to attack.
But it’s WAY past time to take the battle to these enemies of common sense and civilization itself. If we keep taking the low-risk way out (i.e. hide behind “safety”), then the war is lost.
There are two ways to see the world:
Conflict theory: things are the way they are only to keep one group down.
Functionality: things are the way they are for a reason.
Today we attempt to define everything with a conflict theory view, and we have an egalitarian world view (it’s considered ethical). So we pit women in rinks with men to fight, make women firemen even though there is no way in hell they could drag me (a 225 lbs male) out of a building, we make them police officers even though they can’t break up a fight or physically dominate someone rambunctious... We make them soldiers even though they literally can’t carry their weight. We make homos equal to hetero couples even though they cannot reproduce, they are responsible for the AIDS/HIV in this country...
At some point we’re going to create so much dysfunction and inefficiency that the system will break or we just become like the Euro’s, a dim and lukewarm economy going nowhere slowly. A place where folks are happy to have a minimalist existence and rudte the public transit to get to their home where they freeze in the winter and sweat in the summer. There is a real cost borne for all this stupidity.
