Afghan special forces soldiers trained by American troops are now being recruited by the Russian military to fight in Ukraine, three former Afghan generals told The Associated Press

They said the Russians want to attract thousands of the former commandos with offers of steady, $1,500-a-month payments and promises of safe havens to avoid deportation home to what could be death at the hands of the Taliban. Many of the commandoes fled to Iran after the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan last year.

The Clown Show that is American foreign policy comes full circle; we invade Afghanistan, stay for 20 years leaving behind $85 billion in our military equipment which is now about to be sold to Russia to be used against our "advisors" by people we trained.

More embarrassing is when the Ukie regime is finally forced to the negotiating table, appears now to be sooner than later. The amount of “ unaccounted” US and western arms and weapons will be very, very embarrassing.

Not much US equipment left by the US in Afghanistan is relevant in Ukraine. Almost all of it is counterinsurgency specific, like MRAP vehicles. Not too much call for anti-IED patrol vehicles in Ukraine right now.

Other things like transport helicopters, where much of the stated value is, are not maintainable in Russia. No parts.

They’ll be as good at running away and leaving weapons behind in Ukraine as they were in Afghanistan.
