The museum is upstairs - we all ate at the restaurant on the 1st floor a few years ago.

Great place, great restaurant, lots of interesting exhibits. Hope to get back there to check out the museum.

Excellent period-themed menu!

The last battle of the war was actually fought at Cuddalore, in India, in 1783, between the British against the French and a force from their ally, the Indian state of Mysore. But news of the peace treaty arrived in the middle of the battle, so the fighting came to a halt and the battle was inconclusive.

Worked as a field tech in the Wall St. area for almost 20 years and passed it many times. But it was a winter day in 1975 when some Puerto Ricans set off a bomb there that sticks in my memory.

https://msa.maryland.gov/msa/mdstatehouse/html/gwresignation.html
[At the end of the Revolutionary War, many people in America and Europe thought Washington would retain the reins of power to become the leader of the new nation, or even king. When told by the American artist Benjamin West that Washington was going to resign, King George III of England said “If he does that, he will be the greatest man in the world.”]

He could have put himself on the throne, as other military leaders had done before and since. That he followed in Cincinnatus’s footsteps made him almost one of a kind.
