Since it is really the Obama / Biden Regime currently in power, none of this is a surprise. Biden has been a fool and a creep his entire life. He witnessed how the Clinton Crime Syndicate gathered billions of dollars, while breaking any law they wanted. Obama and company could care less about anything other than themselves. Furthermore, the Afghan disaster was also part of a plan to both lure and coerce Putin into attacking Ukraine.
The lure was perception that America was run by weak, senile old man who was giving Putin the wink and nod to move forward and the coercion was the US State Dept falsely spreading the word that Ukraine was on a fast track to NATO membership.
NATO membership for Ukraine is and always has been a red line the Russians have warned is unacceptable.
