Trump will make lemonade from these lemons - big backfire, incredibly weak case, total political persecution which will get Trump many many news votes.

EVEN NEIL CAVUTO SAYS THIS IS A NOTHING BURGER.

They're trying to prevent the spectacle of an immediate 1st amendment filing--charging and then preventing the defendant from speaking, only to have 'leaks' in the press.

I think that action would not sit well with people, except the dimmest, clueless, and rabidly partisan.

and the judge presiding over the case said he wouldn’t have granted one if it had.

This makes me think the judge isn’t impressed with this case.

No gag order. That would occasion a raised eyebrow as to the claimed left bias of this judge. I would love to see Bragg get sanctioned by the judge.

The DA’s behavior indicates he is solely interested in preventing Trump from running, which a political goal and has nothing to do with enforcing the law. Democrats frequently play dirty and then declare that their motives are pure. Bragg is going to waste the money of the people of Manhattan to pursue a case he can’t win. He’s showboating for the mob. The appropriate way to deal with this conduct is a recall.

As everyone will be watching Trump tonight, I hope he makes a substantive critique and dismissal of the 34 felony charges. After listening to DA Brag, President Trump can wrap this up and put it to bed. This will be the first time lots of folks will hear him talk on the topic, especially now that the charges are publicly released, I hope makes his case.

Because the judge knows its unconstitutional and Trump would likely take Newt’s advice and ignore it.

I found this: Trump pleads not guilty to 34 charges; admonished by judge

Trump, stone-faced and silent as he entered and exited the Manhattan courtroom, said “not guilty” in a firm voice while facing a judge who warned him to refrain from rhetoric that could inflame or cause civil unrest.

Seriously, he "warned" him? Who decides what and which a presidential candidate and former President words are "inflaming"?

I'd like to hear the actual quote, but this sounds like the Judge thinks Trump needs to be put in his place. F him.

He didn’t even request a gag order. So my spider sense is tingling. It would help him politically to tweet, but might turn the jury pool against him. This is NYC, and your potential jurors are already poisoned by relentless smears against him, and they might not like his mean tweets. Anyway, why’s he tweeting? I thought he’s stick to Truth Social.

Silencing Trump would have opened the door to interference in a Federal Campaign. I think they (the DA and Judge) were advised to stay clear of that.

And it won’t matter, everyone knows what Trump thinks of them, and the Manhattan jury will vote to convict even before being selected.
