Funny how this works. Put Democrats in charge and all the sudden your property taxes start going through the roof. I bet the governmental administrative staff supported by these taxes has exploded too.

just opened my property assessment this morning: assessed value went up nearly 50% from last year!

I suspect that in CO, like FL, it is WAY too easy for voters at the polls to amend the state constitution or enact statutes.
OTOH, since it leaves legislators off the hook for awful laws, state legislatures love referenda.

Property tax is flat-out criminal...Especially those who’ve paid property tax for many decades, then they finally pay off their homes if they’re lucky, and the government still wants to loot property tax from them, most of whom I would assume would be elderly folks...Spit!
