This is the biggest mall in San Francisco. When tourists come to experience this famous city, they often hang around nearby. It's the beating retail heart of the area. Or it was anyway.
So what happened? In a nutshell, there are just not enough people living and working in downtown San Francisco anymore. Office vacancies remain high. Nordstrom, an anchor tenant of the Westfield mall, is leaving. Foot traffic in the city has plunged since 2019

The street level of the area is just plain distasteful and depressing. Who wants to navigate that kind of third world mess?

What will the Democrats do? Make it illegal to leave their failed city and failed state?
Closing this awful pollution source will surely improve San Francisco’s carbon footprint, which is so terribly important.
Think of all those awful semis that will no longer be delivering tons of freight to the mall.
It’s a big win for SF. They should be celebrating.

My Nephews Parents in Law live in that building. Probably the last Conservatives left in SF after my Sister moved. They bought a fixer upper in Sonoma a number of years ago. The need to get it “fixed up” quick became apparent with their Apartment delima. I suspect they spend most of their time in Sonoma these days. I’ll see them in a couple months and get an update. The FIL is leading the HOA group in regards to this matter.
