It’s pretty simple. Twitter used to be the primary means of communication for leftists to plan, strategize, and coordinate (see its usage during the “color revolutions”). It was developed, funded, and supported by the US Deep State (alphabet agencies), and was a vital part of their communications strategies. Well, after Elon bought it, the DS still needs some comm systems to serve the same purpose, and Zuckerberg is already neck-deep with the Deep State. Once they can drive conservative voices off, they can use Threads to plan and direct leftist orgs (like antifa), and they will use it to convince businesses that the radical left is a majority via their Threads responses (which is one of the ways they used Twitter).
