West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice (R) endorsed former President Trump for the Republican nomination for president in 2024 on Monday.
“The leadership and success exhibited by President Trump could not be more different than what we see today under Joe Biden. I support President Trump and firmly believe he will be our nominee and be re-elected as our next President,” he tweeted.
Justice is a two-term governor and a candidate for the Senate seat currently held by Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.). Early polling has shown him with a large lead over Manchin in a hypothetical match-up between the two.
West Virginia Rep. Alex Mooney (R) is also running for the GOP Senate nomination in the state.

That’s a winning formula, right there.
He certainly should endorse Trump.
Watch for some dirty tricks by the feds because of this.
As soon as Justice announced he was running for senate the Justice Department sued him and his family’s company.

Why should he endorse anybody?
“Endorsements” are for weak-minded idiots who shouldn’t be voting in the first place.
Sounds good, Manchin will soon announce he is not running, probably next January.
I’m no political junkie but for those who are this is the system and endorsements are part of it.
You didn’t contradict my assessment of “endorsements”.
Remember Justice switched from Republican to Democrat to run for WV governor. After Trump won, he switched back to GOP, he and Trump know each other, and both are resort owners.
He will get the GOP senate nomination in WV (I will be voting for Mooney!) and will go on to beat Manchin if Manchin runs.
In my opinion Mooney made a huge mistake announcing to run for Manchin’s seat. He should have set back and served a term or two more in the House. It will be interesting to see what Mooney will do when he loses the primary.
