Biden looks to provide relief from extreme heat as record high temperatures persist across the US
ABC, AP ^ | 7/27/23 | CHRIS MEGERIAN, MATTHEW DALY and DREW COSTLEY Associated Press

“Even those places that are used to extreme heat have never seen it as hot as it is now for as long as it's been,'' Biden said. “Even those who deny that we’re in the midst of a climate crisis can’t deny the impact of extreme heat is having on Americans.''

Biden's bid to address the immediate effects of climate change come as he faces pressure from fellow Democrats and environmental groups to declare a climate "emergency,'' a step he has so far resisted. The steps announced Thursday supplement his long-term agenda for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and deploying clean energy technology, policies that may not pay dividends for years to come while global temperatures continue to rise

Huh, it's called summer to me.

1977 was a very hot summer in the northeast, caused the NYC blackout, 1980 in Dallas was brutal, 2011 in Dallas was brutal, with 70 days over 105.

It's summer live with it.

It’s called weather, it changes all the time and the only one who can control it is God Almighty Himself!

Biden is going to provide relief? How? Will he order 350 million ice cream cones for all Americans?

Oh, before I forget and hit send. He’ll have to order another 75 million as well. For all the illegals.

When I was a kid, we drove through Death Valley on a family vacation, and it was 116. The AC in our car was on the fritz, too. That was in June or July of 1970.

Solution: save all this hot air in a big balloon and pop it during the winter. Problem solved ...//sarc// create a hot air department. Oh, wait, we have dozens already.

uh...hey biden, you know the air conditioners that your agenda seeks to forbid (on the heels of banning all other appliances)....

those have always provided a relief from decades of warm temperatures, but I digress

Conquered cancer on Monday, now the weather on Thursday! This old jerk of average measure is certainly on a streak!

Rocket Man's wildest accomplishments claims have got nothing on old Hairy-Legs.

Was the Dust Bowl “climate change” or just a drought period combined with poor farming practices?

Remarkable, you’re saying this flat desert at 30 deg north latitude with the Sun almost overhead is hot in July? It almost defies belief. And apparently the Sahara desert is just as hot. I just don’t get it.

Not a single day with a high over 90 here in the great lakes, I remember strings of weeks with highs in the 90s in 1985-86 with people dying due to lack of care by their relatives.

The best thing I have done is buy a house where there is a breeze and plant the right trees around the house and take advantage of shade.

That idiot, his staff, the entire collection of Democrat clowns, and his useless squadrons of revolting gubmit employees, couldn’t fix a home A/C unit, let along deal with anything that would require actual science. Shove it up your collective and demonstrably useless Dorkbamaholes, leftists.

This is the hottest summer in the history of the world, I am told, according to records. The records go back about 100 to 150 years. Where are the thermometers that were used to record those temperatures? Were they calibrated? Are they available for inspection? Where were the thermometers placed? Were they were in cools shady places near a creek or were they placed on a rooftop in the city? I get yelled at for asking these questions. If average recorded temperature is 1.5 farenheit degrees warmer I don’t care. I have real problems to deal with.

Then drive the electrical grid into the ground with “renewables” mandates.

It’s just so incredible, the lengths these people will go to to brainwash people into believing that summer is no longer summer but “extreme heat.” Shave Ice for everyone, on Joe!

Relief will happen in the fall. Bite-Me will take credit. And raise taxes. And further restrict the middle class from having anything nice - like air conditioning, heat, or clean running water.

Hey, this is the man who cured cancer. If he can cure cancer, then this is doable.
