California Bill Could Criminalize Criticism of Public Schools
The New American ^ | August 13, 2023 | Michael Tennant

California lawmakers are considering legislation that critics warn could criminalize parents’ speaking out at school-board meetings or otherwise criticizing school officials.

Passed by the California Senate in May and now under consideration in the Assembly, SB 596 would amend state law to classify causing “substantial disorder” at a school-board meeting or engaging in “harassment” of a school employee as a misdemeanor punishable by fines and imprisonment. It would also broaden the definition of “school employee” to include “any employee or official of a school district, a charter school, a county office of education, a county board of education, the state board, or the State Department of Education.”

Existing law considers it a crime when a parent or guardian “materially disrupts classwork or extracurricular activities or [causes] substantial disorder.” In other words, it’s illegal to interfere with the normal operation of a school.

Under SB 596, however, the following is added after “substantial disorder”: “including substantial disorder at any meeting of the governing board of a school district, the governing body of a charter school, a county board of education, or the state board.” In short, a parent who appeared at a school-board meeting and made an impassioned speech against, say, gender policies, could well be charged with a crime. Such a speech, after all, is likely to cause some kind of “disorder.”

“It’s clear they’re trying to chill parents from speaking out,” Heritage Foundation senior legal fellow Sarah Parshall Perry told the Daily Signal.

“I find it curious that there’s no definition of ‘substantial’ or ‘disruption’ within the proposed text,” she said. “Considering that these are essential terms for the bill, it’s likely that if passed, the law would fall under a vagueness challenge.”

And all the liberals who call DeSantis a dictator for protecting kids from explicit material will enthusiastically jump at the opportunity to support this bill.

But remember, the government is not being weaponized against parents who speak out.

Of course not — and if you say it is, we’ll have you arrested.

Translation: "We're going to groom your children and if you don't like it, we'll throw you in prison where you can be sodomized."

Sounds like a real utopia, doesn't it?

You can goto hell. I’m behind enemy lines with school aged children. I’m not a coward to run to another state because things get tough.

Yes! Do it! California needs to lose representation. Keep that governmental iron fist on your people. The entire state will look like Fentanyl Island and people will leave the state.

"California Bill Could Criminalize Criticism of Public Schools"

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

If this was a better world, then please consider the following possibility.

Instead of corrupt career federal lawmakers that voters keep reelecting for unknown reasons (ballot box fraud?) continue to look the other way while the likewise corrupt (imo) Biden Administration gets away with weaponizing federal police to criminalize understandably angry but non-violent "terrorist" parents for criticizing unpopular public school policies at school board meetings, consider the following constitutional alternative.

When activist school board members try to prevent parents and concerned citizens from voicing their dissatisfaction with public school policies, the constitutional reality is that parents should actually feel free to do the following imo.

Parents need to call from school meetings to request federal police presence to make a report concerning alleged abridgment of 1st Amendment (1A)-protected religious expression and free speech by activist school board members, these constitutionally enumerated protections applied to the states by the 14th Amendment (14A).

Excerpted from 14A:

In fact, when the 14A police arrive they should have the constitutional clause references 1A and 14.1A on their identification badges.

And speaking of 1A enumerated religious expression protections in the context of school board meetings, also consider the following.

Mark 7:11-13 shows that Jesus reprimanded the religious leaders of his time for driving a wedge (my words) between parents and their children, wrongly nullifying the "Honor your father and mother" commandment by doing so.

So Jesus protects parental authority from tyrannical school board members through freedom of religious expression imo.

In fact, it is arguably good that parental rights are not constitutionally enumerated because some "parents" don't deserve to be parents imo.

Patriots, simply put, you're never going to enjoy your constitutionally enumerated protections as a consequence of corrupt, constitutionally undefined political parties who have pirated control of both state and federal governments.

That being said, please consider the ultimate, relatively simple remedy for dealing with career state and federal lawmakers that voters now have "buyer's remorse" for.

Democratic and Republican Trump-supporting patriots need to get ready ASAP to support Trump campaign by primarying ALL state and federal, lawmakers and executives, except for MTG Gaetz (and others?), for the 2024 primaries.

After all, lawmakers and executives continue to show that they do not have the patriotism and leadership skills necessary to find legislative support for effective remedies for unconstitutional government policies.

Exclusive: Marjorie Taylor Greene ‘Dumbfounded’ GOP Colleagues Will Not Call for Biden’s Impeachment! (6.10.23)

In fact, consider that, since one of the very few powers that the states have expressly constitutionally given to the big, bad federal government to dictate peacetime domestic policy is to run the US Mail Service (most federal domestic policy actually based on stolen state powers imo), the worst problem that the country would otherwise be looking at with a new Congress of Trump-supporting freshman lawmakers is arguably a delay with mail delivery.

Trump can endorse candidates from lists that patriots who respect the federal government's constitutionally limited powers provide for him, as long as candidates are not incumbents, candidates also promising to repeal the 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments after they win office.

The definition of insanity is reelecting your beloved career state and federal lawmakers and executives over and over again, expecting those same politicians to find remedies for unconstitutional government policies every time.

Patriots, let's not allow ourselves to be fooled for third time in 2024 by the corrupt, constitutionally undefined political parties that have pirated control of state and federal governments.

This, O children, is a graphic example of what is called “reprobation”; it is spiritual psychopathy/sociopathy and the clinical description is found in Rom. 1:18-32 and II Tim. 3:1-5.

The only way to protect our children and ourselves is to avoid those who manifest this pathology and in this case, pull your children out that school.

(Someone who knows the right people should run a criminal background check on that “teacher” to see if he or she is a sex offender and scope out any neighborhood that person has lived in over the last 10-15 years to see if any kids have turned up raped, missing, or dead.)
