‘Morning Joe’ Says George W Bush ‘Would Have Gutted’ Trump if They Actually Ran Against Each Other (Video)

Donald Trump once again mixed up candidates he ran against this week, this time conflating Jeb Bush with George W. Bush. But, had Trump actually run against George W. Bush, MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” crew is pretty sure Trump would have been “gutted” in no time at all.

During a speech in South Carolina on Monday, Trump recounted to his followers that, in 2016, “everyone thought Bush was going to win,” because he “supposedly was a military person,” but then mocked his military leadership.

“He got us into the Middle East,” Trump said. “How did that work out, right? But they all thought that Bush might win — Jeb. Remember Jeb?”

They’re even lovin’ on Reagan. Haha. Go Trump! God bless him AND his family. Whether we win or lose, patriots are indebted to him.

Yeah, GWB would have been curbstomped by DJT.

Here’s Bush’s 9/11 ‘bullhorn’ speech:

“I want you all to know that America today, America today is on bended knee, in prayer for the people whose lives were lost here, for the workers who work here, for the families who mourn. This nation stands with the good people of New York City and New Jersey and Connecticut as we mourn the loss of thousands of our citizens, I can hear you! I can hear you! The rest of the world hears you. And the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon.”

Here’s what DJT likely would have said:

“This was horrible, just horrible. All the death and destruction. I promise the terrorists who did this that we will rebuild these towers better than they were before. And I promise the people of New York and the people of the United States that we’re going to hunt down the bastards who did this and we’re going to kill every last one of the sunzabitches!”

Afghanistan would have never become a 20 year quagmire with DJT in charge. And the needless invasion of Iraq would not have happened either.

By the time GWB left office he was less popular than a child molester among normal, decent Americans.

This retard Scarborough should keep in mind that January 2023 was the first time since something like 1979 that there was neither a Bush nor a Cheney in any U.S. government office.

Bush’s approval rating was around 30% when he left office. Even Biden’s approval numbers are not that low.

Illiberal's thrive on visceral reaction. The bloodier, more violent the better.

Truly a sick pack of psychos.

Early in GWB’s first presidency, I might have agreed with Scarborough. That was a different George W. Bush back then, before he had spent 5 or 6 or 7 long years getting bashed by most the media, and at times by his fellow republicans.
Early on, George was brash, direct and at times jovial.
He’s not that way now. It seems all the fire has gone out of W.

I think the last time I saw that fully engaged, self assured George Bush, was in year 2006. In 2006, the “Dreamers” or children of illegal aliens began to ‘demand’ full citizenship of themselves, and of their other relatives. 2006, was the year I recall seeing thousands of hispanics marching down my neighborhood street with signs and banners ‘demanding’ quick citizenship. This aiding and abetting of illegal aliens stunned and confused many republican voters, including me.

It also didn’t help that in 2005, Bush nominated Harriet Miers for a Supreme Court seat, but many of the GOP did not see her as being qualified, and said so. After several weeks of debate, Ms Miers withdrew her name from consideration. This had to take some of the steam out of GWB’s engine. Deflating for a sitting president to see your plan for the Supreme Court collapsing in real time.

I think you’re right. The people who are ready to vote for Trump now, like me, understood Washington differently than they do now.

Bush would have won back in 2000 if he ran against bush. Worlds completely different now and Trump grew up and became conservative.

Trump destroyed Bush by omission in the 2016 debates. Totally evicerated the entire rotten Bush cabal. No contest. Without January 6th and the 91 Soviet “indictments” Trump would run away with this thing.
