Why? The West Bank was supposed to be relatively quiet.There were hundreds of Gaza residents that had papers to work in Israel. They got stuck in Israel when Hamas invaded so they took refuge on the West Bank. That “might” be one reason. Maybe Israel is sending a message to the vermin who reside on the West Bank.

With the exception of Jericho, I was told by IDF to never leave the main road when driving thru the West Bank.
If your car breaks down, stay with the car and IDF will come to help.
Jericho was very safe but the rest...no.
