It’s a conservative-friendly agenda that most Freepers would probably support; and, if that helps DeSantis politically, that what it’s supposed to do.

As for the insurance cost increases, what is the state supposed to do? Use taxpayer funds to subsidize the insurance of Floridans choosing to live in hurricane alley? Force insurers to cross-subsidize those rates by charging Floridians in safe areas more?

There is no “safe” area in Florida pertaining to hurricanes.
