Afghanistan is not just a place, it’s where the Afghans are. The Taliban and Al Qaeda were not left behind in the dust of Kabul, they are making the long trek into Europe. The Hungarians have tried to build a wall, but much as the Chinese learned during the Mongolian invasions or the Israelis learned on Oct 7, it’s not enough to build a wall, you have to vigilantly defend it. And given enough time, the barbarians will find a way around it, under it, over it or through it.
Walls alone do not stop an invasion. Eventually you will have to fight and defeat the invaders.

Biden and the Military Industrial Complex left Afghanistan because they were hell bent on starting the Ukraine war. They knew that once talk of adding the Ukraine to NATO would force Russia to respond.
The proper response to 9/11 was NOT invasion of multiple muslim lands, open borders, endless $$ trillion wars and enforced racial and political correctness on Americans.
It was a closure of America’s borders, at least certainly to anyone from muslim countries. That would have been the simplest and by far most-effective “national security” measure possible
Of course, our deep-state, GOP and DEM alike, decided to do the exact opposite.
“Error” implies an unwanted result. There’s every reason to believe this is exactly what the puppet masters intended. The destruction of western civilization via barbarian invasion.
More like Putin saw what happened in Afghanistan and was emboldened to move in. There’s a reason he did what he did during Obama, and then Biden, but not during Trump.
Adding Ukraine to NATO and other countries was hardly anything new some people were chattering about. There was once even talk of adding Russia to NATO.
One Muslim path to Europe is through Iraq and Syria. George W. Bush’s reckless invasion of Iraq made that path possible. Bush’s invasion also made Muslims more sympathetic to the average naive European.
I read an interesting article about that awhile back. Right after 9/11 the average European was with us. They rightly saw Muslims as the aggressors. Then after the invasion of Iraq, many Europeans started to see Muslims as victims. “Welcome refugees!” signs, and all that.
So while Biden handled things in the region poorly, George W. Bush was much worse.
