European Union officials are concerned the ongoing violence between Israel and Hamas sparked by the Oct. 7 attack will increase Islamic terrorism on the continent.

EU Home Affairs Commissioner Ylva Johansson spoke to reporters about the rising threat following a fatal terrorist knife attack near the Eiffel Tower over the weekend.

"With the war between Israel and Hamas, and the polarization it causes in our society, with the upcoming holiday season, there is a huge risk of terrorist attacks in the European Union," said Johansson.

One of the many, many problems with the EU is that they even have a “Home Affairs Commissioner”. The EU started as a free trade zone, and that’s all it should be.

But that’s what happens when you allow your country to go from being a sovereign state into just being a province of a greater empire.

You are correct. And Orbán does more than just talk. He quickly built a very effective border wall to get the job done.

But here’s my concern. Hungary is always only one election away from disaster. Should Orbán’s party lose to some liberal party over a tax policy or whatever, that wall will go down.

I am particularly concerned because all four of my grandparents were born in Hungary. I once had relatives there, but they have all passed. But at least some of them lived long enough to see the communists being booted out.

It would be an irreversible tragedy should those communists be replaced by Muslims. (One set of fascists replaces another.)
