“liberals always want change”
Obama spoke at the University of Oregon in Eugene on May 9, 2008. Our oldest quite liberal daughter, then 22, attended his talk and called me while walking home from the event. She gushed “Dad, he’s going to change everything!”
I asked her “You’ve had a very good life, dear. What is so bad that we need radical change. What do you want to change?”
Dead silence. Then, “Gotta go dad, talk to you soon. Bye.” Click.
Tell your daughter that you love her, but her worldview is going to kill millions. :(
She doesn’t understand that a lot of suffering is self-induced. I am more than happy to contribute to a ministry that is devoted to giving the opportunity to make better choices, but they have to want to make that better choice in life.
