The bill would go into effect immediately after being signed, and it would “BAN Presidential electors from the state of Tennessee from casting a vote for any presidential or vice presidential candidate whose eligibility for office is in question or doubt at the time of the vote, and until such time as the candidate has been properly investigated and cleared of any reasonable doubt.”
The bill was introduced by a REPUBLICAN as communist secretaries of state across the country are trying to remove President Trump from the ballot.
The bill has already passed in the TN Senate on first consideration, and now it’s in House, waiting to be reviewed by the elections subcommittee. From there, the bill will go straight to a vote, which could be any day now.

Why the heck are they doing this when this very issue is before The Supreme Court? And if the Supreme Court rules as we think ,that would override this sort of action, wouldn’t it?

If true, this needs to become common knowledge in all Republican areas of TN (of which there are many). These folks need to pay politically for shenanigans like this.

Americans need to start denying these so-called states pulling these turd roller political stunts the privilege of participating in national elections until they learn to behave themselves and start acting like grownup Americans instead of the Tater Swuft fan club.
If people would actually read the bill, it looks more like it would keep Kamala Harris off the ballot. The proofs required are proofs that the candidate is eligible for office constitutionally (NBC, etc.)
This would not effect Trump at all, but it would effect Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy.
Utterly unconstitutional (as we are about to find out for sure) - states have no power to determine the eligibility of any candidate for federal office, let alone the President. That is a matter for either the Congress or the federal courts.
OK. I doubt the legitimacy of all the other candidates in the primaries of all political parties. No due process for any of them — my feelings on the subject are enough to prevent them from being on a Tennessee ballot if this law is enacted.
What sort of idiots would find this reasonable or remotely Constitutional?
