The Spy War: How the C.I.A. Secretly Helps Ukraine Fight Putin
New York Times ^ | Feb. 25, 2024 | Adam Entous and Michael Schwirtz

For more than a decade, the United States has nurtured a secret intelligence partnership with Ukraine that is now critical for both countries in countering Russia...

Nestled in a dense forest, the Ukrainian military base appears abandoned and destroyed, its command center a burned-out husk, a casualty of a Russian missile barrage early in the war.

But that is above ground.

Not far away, a discreet passageway descends to a subterranean bunker where teams of Ukrainian soldiers track Russian spy satellites and eavesdrop on conversations between Russian commanders. On one screen, a red line followed the route of an explosive drone threading through Russian air defenses from a point in central Ukraine to a target in the Russian city of Rostov.

The underground bunker, built to replace the destroyed command center in the months after Russia’s invasion, is a secret nerve center of Ukraine’s military.

There is also one more secret: The base is almost fully financed, and partly equipped, by the C.I.A

....

Around 2016, the C.I.A. began training an elite Ukrainian commando force — known as Unit 2245 — which captured Russian drones and communications gear so that C.I.A. technicians could reverse-engineer them and crack Moscow’s encryption systems.

...

The C.I.A.’s partnership in Ukraine can be traced back to two phone calls on the night of Feb. 24, 2014, eight years to the day before Russia’s full-scale invasion.

...

The question that some Ukrainian intelligence officers are now asking their American counterparts — is whether the C.I.A. will abandon them. “It happened in Afghanistan before and now it’s going to happen in Ukraine,” a senior Ukrainian officer said.

...

The C.I.A. and the HUR have built two other secret bases .. combined with the 12 forward operating bases

I guess that’s what is taking Zelensky and Biden Inc. so long to get it over with. If you believe the far-left “media”, the Ukraine has been kicking the Russkis asses since day one.

United States deep state network has wanted this war for a long time.

It is painfully obvious that the USA and UK knew the red lines that would force Russia to stop NATO expansion and then stepped over those red lines intentionally.

the idea that the CIA has been deeply involved in Ukraine for over a decade waging a secret war against Russia is no longer a conspiracy theory.

Pretty funny, right? The CIA are now supposed to be our heroes in Ukraine, like the Republicans opened the US southern border.

I am sure that the CIA in Ukraine IS critical - to US elections, this year.

I think this explains a lot of those “sudden deaths” in Russia..rooting out CIA assets

In the Intelligence Community, this is known as a limited hang-out. You admit to the truth, but leave out the whole truth and nothing but the truth part of it. You admit to helping Ukraine defensively, but leave out the part where you knew you were crossing the line and provoking Russia.

PS, what fraction of Russian dissidents that the CIA "recruted" to sabotoge Russia and oust Putin were actually Russian Intelligence agents? The Russians have been infilitrating those who are attempting to infiltrate Russia since the Kyev Rus. Remember Putin is former KGB. You don't think maybe he remembers the old methods do you?

The, globalist, faggotist CIA clownhouse has become an agency of rogues and a danger to society.

They need to be dealt with, very harshly. The problem is, right now, they apparently answer to nobody - certainly not us.

The full CIA involvement in the coup that was the 2020 Big Steal is still to be revealed. They wanted Trump out so they could have this war.

There’s a whole cabal of US Government bigwigs who never accepted the end of the Cold War.

Like those Japanes soldiers who kept fighting WWII.

They’re still battling the dead USSR. And Ukraine is their major Forward Operating Base (FOB).

Most of them are in the State Department, or recently retired from. And now in lucrative positions in Think Tanks. Like the Atlantic Council.

DOS, for one, needs to be absolutely fumigated.

Nuland, Fiona Hill, etc. need prison.

Yup. Everything from threatening to join NATO to installing neoNazis in power was a provocation.

"Russia invaded a sovereign state", is the favorite cliche of the remnant FR "Cold Warriors", regarding Ukraine.

It isn't. Ukraine is a client state of the US State Department and Deep State.

The CIA employees retired employees in these positions; they never stop working and are dedicated Democrats who hate republicans. The CIA created Facebook, took the grandson of a leading founder, his son who a high ranking CIA member and made thier Grandson/Son the face of company with stocks; remember the guy who was in college at an Ivy league univ? Do you still believe the stories about Bill Gates in the Garage acting alone? Even Steve Jobs was a tool of the intelligence community. Today, even Elon Musk is essentially a front for Government Electrice Vehicles, the NASA Space Program, etc. The USG cannot simply hire the best and brightest so it creates the companies and markets them. The CIA and State Department are integrated. The CIA is in so many schools, news rooms, companies, the US Military, and even the NSA. They are in the FBI who became weaponized shortly after gaining overseas offices in our Missions/Embassies abroad. Every agency has been pentrated and on the payroll. The NSA sweeps up all the global information as the US controls 90 percent of the worldwide Internet/communications. As the article states, Trump was fooled, and well you know Biden ain’t in charge. We have a clique of Democrats, a few RINOs and the Intelligence Agencies running America.

For whatever reason the NYT left on the comments section and its pun lefty readers are bashing both the CIA and the US involvement in the war. I guess even lefties don’t like being played.
