A nationwide call to end hunger and reduce diet-related diseases has been answered by more than 100 entities, including the University of California system which will be led by staff at the Center for Economic Justice and Action at UC-Santa Cruz.
The recently announced program from the White House has received 141 commitments. The University of California would pave the way for advancing "current and new efforts" to help students with essential needs.

Unconstitutional too. I thought we paid a civil war in order to disband the confederation of special groups while other groups were under Federation.
The whole point of the Civil War was because some groups or states were semi-autonomous, benefiting from special trade privileges, preferences and property rights, while other states did not.
When I hear a Chinese or Philippino can own US property but not a US member allowed to own properties there, it is the same imbalance of when we have autonomous groups inside the US enjoying greater property latitudes than Americans or even Indians on legit tribal lands.
This is getting ridiculous.
There’s a lot of free stuff given out at the taxpayer expense already — including food stamps.
If there really are any hungry people in the USA, their predicament is most likely one of their own making.
Maybe they should give up on driving US Big Agriculture to “net zero”.
So starvation and food will become the new Pavlovian weapon.

Why is she not living in a small house and donating ALL of her wealth to the UN?
Caloric Justice.
What could go wrong.
Like the CCP who provides basic necessities (or claims to) in exchange for obedience, what could go wrong? 😑
Yet another bunch of moral busy bodies attempting to influence something that they know nothing about. It’s just a coven of loonie academics wrecking things with idiotic “solutions “
“Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain who build it.” Psalm 127:1
You can’t do it without producing food, IOW, farming or gardening.
And the elitists are going after both of those.
They can’t even be consistent in their agendas, except for the fact that they want to destroy the US and reduce the population as much as possible.
RE: A nationwide call to end hunger
I thought American college student already found that solution: boxes of ramen noodles alternating with bowls of corn flakes in water.
Henry Miller wrote that he tried to get invited to a friend’s place for a meal, and line up another friend for another night and eventually make enough friends to eat all month.
***A nationwide call to end hunger***
Again? Lying Lyndon Johnson did that in 1964 with his WAR ON POVERTY!
HOW DID THAT WORK OUT FOR YOU AMERICA!
RE: money in food stamps....
In fiscal 2022, the government spent $119.4 billion on SNAP food benefits. Some $113.9 billion went to benefits while $5.5 billion went to administrative and other expenses.
1. “end hunger” — come on, WHO is hungry in America. That is just nonsensical.
2. “reduce diet-related diseases” — these mainly come from obesity. How can you be obese and hungry?
It is.
We lived in a welfare town for 18 LONG years and there were slum lord rental properties down the street from us.
They stuff they actually spent their money on was staggering. And then they'd whine about not having enough money for food.
And some of the stuff I saw when handing out Thanksgiving baskets for church. No different.
Lots of money for booze, cigs, video games, big screen TV's, DVDs, etc, (and drugs which we knew they did but didn't leave out laying around) but, oh..... they were so poor and starving, they didn't know what they were going to do for a Thanksgiving meal if it weren't for the church......
Is Angela Davis still teaching at UCSC? Maybe as an emeritus professor?
Food Justice starts
Do what your Oma told you to do.
Limit white flour
Limit white sugar
Plenty of water
More vegetables
Wash your hands when you come in the house and before you eat.
Alcohol on occasion
Don’t pick your nose
Don’t bring Those Girls home
It ain’t too hard.
