Because the revenue stream comes via Substack, and Substack uses only Stripe for payment processing.
This sort of thing is why Gab set up their own payment processing system.

You should still be able to open a clean bank account at a new bank just for the stripe transactions. “Here’s my transaction list: 3/18/2024 $10 opening deposit. End of list.”
