Just got back from Singapore. The cleanest, safest city around. No druggies, “homeless” , pan handlers, graffiti...
They have tough drug laws and enforce them. It’s a pleasure to walk around town. And it’s a very prosperous country as well.
Was envious when I thought what an unsafe dirty shithole we’ve become.
I like Singapore too, I’d like to go back for a vacation someday, but I wouldn’t trade the freedoms we have for living there.
Heck, they fine you for taking a few minutes too long on the subway.

Singapore is also a homogenized country that has cultural racism built into its core. It’s no coincidence that countries like this are clean and function well.
