That’s near my former neighborhood. We’ve been following this all afternoon.
The Rockford Chief of Police, the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Police, the Mayor, AND the FBI were present.
Apparently the assailant was running into people’s homes and attacking them. I don’t know how the Postal employee died.
We are waiting on more information. The Rockford Police are not saying any more than they can right now. My wife has a high school friend who lives in that neighborhood. She and her family are safe.
I’m surprised no one has blown the perp away.
