If they don’t put them in jail, what is the point?
To persecute those they deem guilty. Be it legally or the release of specific video.
They are in jail - Oakland, like other blue former cities, has long since become an open-air prison/psych ward/reservation.
In another twist of irony, those cameras will be monitored by a private company, and since that company will be hired under a Didn't Earn It (DEI) contract, the watchers (aka "The Man") will be black and mostly female.
We can't put them in jails, we closed half our jails because we don't want to jail anyone anymore, it's racist.
