But only mail service in Red areas will be affected.
Plans to shut down a sorting/processing facility in RENO & move everything to a NEW facility in Sacramento is driving those of us in N Nevada nuts.
Apparently, the DEI winners have never looked at a map-—nor have ever been over Donner Pass....8,000 feet elevation
OR DO NOT KNOW WHAT 75 FEET of snow is.
I-80 —taking our mail west & then bringing it back east is VERY dicey in 5 months of the year.-—SHUTDOWNS can last as high as 4 DAYS.
WE ARE STILL GETTING SNOW HERE-—NOT kidding
I put my bill payments into the mail about 50 miles SE of Reno—and 2-3 bills a month go to local vendors. Having all of that go about 200 miles WEST -—OVER DONNER PASS—and then come back is insane. MY propane supplier is 26 miles south of me-—HOW Long will his check take to get to him???
Staff that is currently working in Reno—————
ALL lose their jobs?
Their seniority?
They have to MOVE to keep job?
Nevada has NO state income tax for individuals—
CALIF HAS HIGH TAXES FOR SAME
Property taxes in CALIF are MUCH HIGHER THAN HERE
PROPERTY INSURANCE in Calif is a nightmare-—Many companies not writing new policies.
PROPERTY PRICES ARE MUCH HIGHER
CAR registrations are higher
CAR insurance is MUCH higher
GAS PRICES ARE THE HIGHEST IN THE USA
KIDS have to change schools? Lose possible college scholarships?
IF a 2 income family-—spouse has to quit job to find another one in Calif???
What happens when all the “NEW PROCESSING” equipment doesn’t work because there is a power outage in Sacramento???
Common there already.
NONE of this makes a lick of sense.
