That IS pretty cool. I just laid a sheet on the ground under the Japanese lace-leaf maple in the back yard to get a shot of shadow crescents. The Bradford pear didn't work very well and there aren't any other trees in the yard with a lot of leaves.
The best crescents are in the upper right corner.

Those are great! Yeah, our mulberries sucked at making crescents, too. I saw that Mark from HurricaneTrack was going to do thisd in Maine and thought...could work. And it did!! Hubby held it for me while I took the shot.
