In 2016, Trump chose former Gov. Mike Pence, someone even many of his partisan opponents would concede could have potentially assumed the presidency in an effective manner had the situation warranted it.

I'm not going to hate on Pence, but Biden ought to put the last nail in the coffin of the idea that a career in DC politics is a guarantee of an effective president. Vice presidents tend to be ditherers -- Humphrey, Mondale, Bush, Gore, Biden, Pence, Harris. If they aren't -- Lyndon Johnson, Dick Cheney -- it can be even worse.

Yes, JD Vance was born poor and had a phenomenal rise in the world, but for average voters he may just come across as another rich White Yale money man.

I would have to hear from Trump that he would have given them the money. There are other reasons, but if he had been President, I don’t believe he would have given that kind of money to a nation we are not beholden to. Biden is the one who is beholden to Ukraine, and some other deals he made for money. Including with the cartel.

Biden was taking money from all who would give. And now taxpayers are paying it back. If Ukraine needed money for a war.. They should have used what they gave Joe. Obama is making most of the rules, but media still call it Biden.

Hogwash.

Democrats may be looking past Biden, but Republicans are wholeheartedly supporting President Trump.

They just voted for him overwhelmingly out of a large field of candidates.

Biden? Not so much. Democrat voters were really given no choice.

I think you are ignoring the fact elections often hinge on unaligned voters. Maybe that was what he was referring to.
