I believe TikTok is evil. Is the cure worse than the disease? That is a question to me.

What do the communist Chinese and their sympathizers know about the US Constitution.

Every employee and everyone earning money on Tik-Tok should be required to register as foreign agents.

It depends upon what the meaning of “is” is.

It’s not a ban of Tik-Tok. It’s a ban on the spying side of Tik-Tok, which is the Chinese control of Tik-Tok.

If the U.S. side gets control of Tik-Tok, then, it stops being a spying app for the Chinese.

The Chinese can keep control of Tik-Tok elsewhere, and continue spying on those who don’t care.

Zuckerburg clearly poses a risk as well, we should force him to divest and sell it to a conservative :)

Silicon Valley Tech Oligarchs don't like competition from Chinese Tech Oligarchs.

Alphabet (which owns Google and YouTube) is especially displeased that TikTok is attracting younger viewers from YouTube.

PRC/CCP affiliated companies have access to the user data of American TikTok users:

https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2024/03/is-tiktoks-parent-company-an-agent-of-the-chinese-state/

https://www.socialmediatoday.com/news/tiktoks-still-sharing-us-user-data-china/706093/

And has been evasive about this.

Given that, support the forced sale/walling off of TikTok from a PRC/CCP ownership/access model.

Funny they don’t say which constitution the ban is “unconstitutional” under.

As such, do not see this being overturned in the US Federal Court System.

Am willing to wager with FReepers so inclined to do so.

I bet Tiktok won’t be the only company forced to divest if this is found to be constitutional.

I think tik tok should be spun off to an American (freedom loving) company such as RUMBLE/DJT!

It is BLATANTLY unconstitutional!

Hey, I'm noTikTok fan, but FREEDOM of SPEECH is infinitely more important than my "feelings" about it.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
