Oh I have no objections. I just wasn’t sure if it was a second attack. I think it’s reporting the same event. This whole pier thing is bizarre. I have read unconfirmed reports that Gaza has plenty of food. Israel is getting over 1000 trucks a week in. But the PR is that Israel is starving them and Biden needs to appease some voting blocks, though I don’t think this scheme will work as far as getting votes.
Besides the domestic PR issues and the supposed humanitarian need for it, there has to be more to this pier than meets the eye. Yes it is risky for US servicemen and contractors. But my read is that this pier is tactical. If Gaza gets flooded with free food, that undermines Hamas’ PR schemes AND their ability to use aid to extort their own people. They are stealing and reselling much of the aid - to their own needy people - to finance their war. Its insane. Plus, moving the food aid from the borders of Egypt and Israel towards the ocean will move the people too. That will help clear out civilians from Rafah and other areas where the IDF wants to operate. In other words, without explicitly saying so, there is some regional agreement that Hamas needs to be eliminated. And we are playing a part in the planning.
Anyway that’s my take. And that would be why Hamas would attack the pier.
That pier is never going to work out. Either Hamas comes in and takes over or it gets destroyed.

When Israel helped with the construction water lines to the people of Gaza the Hamas terrorists later dug them up and used them to make missiles and shot them into Israel.

I suspect that most of the "Free Food and Humanitarian Supplies" will be stolen by Palestinian and Islamic Terrorists and sold to buy weapons and finance the same Terrorists.
I suspect a lot of bad "coincidences" will occur at the pier.
