Right. Plus folks need to know when to hold ‘em, and when to fold ‘em. This woman got involved in a dispute between an employee and the thief. Mistake #1. Call 911. But don’t get involved unless someone’s life is in danger.
Then the woman decided to follow the thief out of the store, and risk injury (or worse), all for a purse. Mistake #2.
I’m not preaching from any high ground here. I probably would have done the exact same thing, and also ended up on the ground. The only difference is that the thief would have gotten a face full of police-grade pepper spray.
Instead of moving out of the way and perhaps standing with her back to a wall watching in safety she stood in the doorway unaware of the guy coming up to her.
It's painful to watch.
